Yoga pants are tight-fitting pants made of highly elastic fabrics such as nylon and Lycra. They are moisture-wicking and conform to the skin, specifically designed for stretching exercises like yoga, and have gradually expanded into everyday wear.

The evolution of modern yoga pants began in 1950 with Audrey Hepburn's black capri pants in a film, which popularized slim-fit trousers. The invention of spandex in 1958 improved elasticity, and the aerobics craze of the 1980s further popularized elastic sports pants. The first professional yoga pants, made of nylon and Lycra, were introduced in 1998, becoming a signature yoga garment. In the 21st century, with the rise of fitness trends, yoga pants have broken through functional limitations, adapting to various scenarios such as fitness and commuting through high-waisted shaping and slightly flared cuts. Some products incorporate UPF sun protection and cooling fabrics to enhance outdoor and seasonal wear needs.
